Akpabio and Buhari
Senator Ben Murray-Bruce (PDP-Bayelsa East) has mocked former senate minority leader, Senator Godswill Akpabio.
Akpabio had reportedly tendered his resignation as Minority Leader of the eighth Senate, amid speculation of his defection from the Peoples Democratic Party to the ruling All Progressives Congress.
He, however, did not state any reason for his resignation.
Famzn News had also reported that operatives of the Department of State Services (DSS) and men of the Nigeria Police Force have denied lawmakers entry into the National Assembly by blocking the complex on Tuesday.
It was gathered that the security operatives said they barricaded the National Assembly based on order ”from above.”
Reacting in a post on his Twitter handle, Murray-Bruce hinted that Akpabio might be behind the siege on the National Assembly by security operatives.
He wrote: “Senator Abiodun Oluijmi is making a nationwide call to anyone who has a big donkey we can buy for Senator Akpabio.
“Akpabio will soon have to sell his jet as his undemocratic actions of today will keep him grounded in #Nigeria for a very longgggggg time. #SaveOurDemocracy.”
.@OfficialPDPNig Senators waiting for Akpabio and his cohorts of anti-democratic agents. They probably won’t show up anymore. I guess it’s evident to them at this time what’s at stake. #SaveOurDemocracy pic.twitter.com/3x1qci0YC0
