Saraki and Ekweremadu
Senator Ben Murray-Bruce (PDP-Bayelsa East) has condemned security operatives for prevent Senate President Bukola Saraki and Deputy, Ike Ekweremadu from leaving theirs homes.
Concise had reported that the Abuja homes of Saraki and Ekweremadu have been surrounded by operatives of the Department of State Services (DSS) and men of the Nigerian police.
The security operatives arrived in the early hours of Tuesday.
Those at Saraki’s Maitama residence, however, left around 7:30am when the Senate President was said to have left the premises.
While the operatives are understood to still be at Ekweremadu’s Apo residence.
Reacting in a post on his Twitter handle on Tuesday, Murray-Bruce declared his support for Saraki and Ekweremadu.
He wrote: “The sieges and any use of force on Bukola Saraki, the legitimate Senate President or Ike Ekweremadu, his Deputy are an act of desperation.
“#IStandWithSaraki and I urge you to do the same. If we allow what is currently being done to them to stand, we are in full blown dictatorship!”
