The National Chairman of National Conscience Party (NCP), Dr Yunusa Tanko and a chieftain of the party, Jamaine Imhontuniye, have joined the 2019 presidential race.
Speaking with newsmen after obtaining his expression of interest and nomination forms, Imhontuniye said he would like to be minister of power if elected president.
He said Nigeria should have been experiencing uninterrupted power if President Muhammadu Buhari and former President Olusegun Obasanjo had chosen to be ministers of Power and not Petroleum.
Imhontuniye also vowed to fix the nation’s educational sector, healthcare problems and other challenges if given the mandate.
While obtaining his form, Dr Tanko said though he was the national chairman of the party, he would not hijack the primaries but rather provide a level playing field for all aspirants.
