And Nick Cannon proved it yet again when he appeared on The Ellen Show, due to air later today.
The 36-year-old was quick to defend the singing superstar when Ellen asked what he thought about her live New Year's Eve televised performance that was marred by technical difficulties.

'You know me, I’m a conspiracy theorist, I think the government did that!' Nick joked as the audience laughed. 'They set her up! That was a distraction!
'Anyone who knows about performing and having inner-ears, things like that can go wrong on live television…I screw up on America’s Got Talent all the time.
'So when there’s people in your ear saying things and stuff, I think she got a little flustered,' Nick stated.
'Being the diva that she is, she said, "I’m just going to walk around and pose for seven minutes." And like Ryan Seacrest said, she can do no wrong. So she worked through it.'

Meanwhile, Ellen reminded the celebrity that the last time he was on her show he was on a 's3x strike,' adding 'so now you're having a baby. How did that happen?'
The turban-wearing star jokingly replied, being celibate 'clearly didn't work out too well.'

He and 29-year-old actress and beauty queen Brittany Bell, who are no longer an item, are just a month away from welcoming a baby, whom Oprah correctly guessed is a boy.
Nick, who is eager to become a daddy for a third time, explained: 'Working through being single you have people that you meet and you connect with.
'And I connected a little too well, but bringing a new life into the world is a beautiful thing.'
