Everton have signed Swansea City captain Ashley Williams for a fee believed to be around £12 million.
The Toffees offloaded centre-back John Stones to Manchester City on Tuesday and have acted quickly to sign his replacement in the form of the experienced Wales international.
Williams, 31, has missed only nine matches in the five seasons since the Swans climbed into the Premier League, having started out with them when they were still in League One.
