Former Presidential aide Reno Omokri has asked Benue elder statesman Ameh Ebute to write President Muhammadu Buhari over killings in the state.
Omokri’s comment came as a reaction to Ameh’s letter to Senate President Bukola Saraki where he called on him (Saraki) to resign.
He urged Ameh to instead write Buhari to tackle the crisis between herdsmen and farmers in his home state which has claimed many lives.
In a tweet, he wrote, “Ameh Ebute, a so called elder statesman and Senate President for a few days has written a letter asking @BukolaSaraki to resign the @NGRSenate Presidency.
“Ebute is from Benue. Herdsmen have killed thousands of Benue people, if Ebute wants to write letters, he should focus on that.”
