Adams Oshiomhole
The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Adams Oshiomhole, has said the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) will be defeated in the upcoming Ekit governorship election.
Speaking to newsmen at the National Secretariat of the party on Friday, Oshiomhole claimed that Governor Ayodele Fayose and the PDP were in panic mode.
“He (Fayose) is afraid and I believe rightly too, that the civil servants and the teachers in Ekiti State will not vote for him and their families will not vote for him,” he said.
Oshiomhole, a former governor of Edo State, accused Fayose of still owing public servants salaries for over one year despite receiving bailouts from the Federal Government.
The APC National Chairman recalled how he and other governors of his party were denied use of airport facilities by the then PDP-led Federal Government in the lead up to the 2015 general elections.
He, however, said the APC as a responsible political party would not use such underhand tactics.
