Academy of Motion Pictures Arts and Science popularly referred to as the Oscars on Monday invited common Nollywood actress, Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde, to turn out to be a member.

‘A Private Storm’, co-directed by Lancelot Imasuen and Ikechukwu Onyeka, acquired three nominations on the seventh Africa Movie Academy Awards together with awards for Best Makeup, Best Supporting Actor and Best Nigerian Film.
‘Last Flight to Abuja’, written by Tunde Babalola; directed and produced by Obi Emelonye gained the Africa Movie Academy Awards award for ‘Best film by an African based abroad’.
