The Osun state authorities has declared Tuesday, June 12, as public vacation to mark democracy day within the state.
Dr Obawale Adebisi, the Commissioner for Home Affairs, in an assertion on Saturday in Osogbo, mentioned the general public vacation was in keeping with a coverage of the state to watch June 12 as Democracy Day yearly.
Adebisi mentioned the current administration had since inception been observing June 12 as Democracy Day in remembrance of the 1993 presidential election, which was adjudged the freest and fairest within the historical past of Nigeria.
