Men of the Oyo State Police Command have on Monday paraded a suspected ritualist, whose name was given as Kamoru Oladele for being in possession of a human head.

Briefing newsmen at the state police headquarters in Eleyele, Ibadan, the state capital on the activities of the command in February, the State Police Commissioner, Mr. Leye Oyebade disclosed that a syndicate who specializes in selling human parts was arrested by the Special Anti-Kidnapping squad of the command.

He said: “The arrest was made possible after the squad received credible intelligence on the clandestine activities on them. After two weeks intensive investigation, the leader of the syndicate, Kamoru Oladele, aged 50 years was eventually arrested during negotiation to sell fresh human head for thirty thousand naira. When his house was searched, one smoked human skull was recovered.

“The suspects who engaged in this terrible business had until now used the human parts for different purposes including rituals. During interrogation, it was revealed that the gang had esoteric slags for different human parts. Such slangs were known only to the initiates. For instance, human head which was sold for thirty thousand naira is called ‘Agbon’ (Coconut). ”

As stated by him, the gang had its killer squad which helped to hunt for victims who were eventually killed in cold blood and dismembered for sale.

Oyebade stated the unlucky victims are those that may have been declared missing by the relations.

Speaking with journalists, the syndicate Kamoru Oladele who confessed to the crime, also disclosed their evil trade was carried out in their human abattoirs located at Amuloko, Ibadan and Kuta village in Osun State.
