The former couple have been married since 2005 and share one child together, daughter Molly Brigid, 12.
Monica also has two older sons, Daniel, 27, and Liam, 23, whom she shares with ex-husband Tom Potter.

On Twitter on Friday, the Patch Adams star, 46, shared a scripture verse and prayer that appeared to hint at her current situation.

The star then took to her Youtube page to clear up any confusion, and bring awareness to treatment.

'I’ve had colitis for almost 2 years and sometimes when I get flareups it’s painful and frustrating, so for all of you who suffer from colitis or other abdominal issues, please know you’re not alone.'
The actress also revealed that she has had to wear protective undergarments while taking her youngest to school.
'I've had to wear adult diapers sometimes driving Molly to school. That's not glamorous either,' she stated.
