The leadership of the All Progressive Congress (APC) in Bayelsa State yesterday, accused the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) of covering up of the alleged fraudulent practices of close family members of Governor Seriake Dickson.
The APC, through the Director of Media and Publcity, Chief Nathan Egba, stated the decision of the party to cry out was based on a petition written by a group known Coalition of Democracy and Good Goverce.
As stated by the APC, the petition written to the EFCC, by the group, Coalition for Good Goverce and Accountability, titled: 'Stoppage of Staff Salary’, with reference no SATA/PMO/00303 on the 24th February, 2014, Mr. Timipre Seipulou, directed that the name of Mrs. Dickson should be removed from the pay voucher. With the fake age, Mrs. Goldcoast Dickson, was billed to retire in 2018.
The group, Coalition for Good Goverce and Accountability, had requested the arrest and prosecution of the woman for falsifying her age and make her refund all salaries and allowances she has collected in excess of her retirement age.
“The big question: When does she go to work to carry out her duties as a Senior Cleaner? In fact, the woman lives inside the Government House, Yenagoa with her son and does not go to work but collect salaries. This is not only fraudulent but clearly rubbish any sense of transparency in governance.”
