Spokesperson of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Kola Ologbondiyan has claimed that President Muhammadu Buhari and All Progressives Congress (APC) are desperately clamping down on opposition leaders.

In a assertion on Thursday, he mentioned Nigeria has fallen into perilous time underneath the administration of Buhari.

The former ruling party spokesperson recalled that the PDP had earlier alerted the nation and the worldwide neighborhood that the federal authorities have commenced a determined clampdown on opposition leaders.

Ologbondiyan mentioned: “The All Progressives Congress (APC), having realized that they stand no likelihood within the 2019 basic elections, are actually deploying all depraved machinations to trigger confusion, heighten political pressure, hounding and arresting of opposition leaders, making spurious allegations and attacking influential Nigerians, together with former heads of state, all to instill concern on the polity.

“Having failed of their corruption smear marketing campaign in opposition to the PDP and lots of notable Nigerians, the APC and the Presidency cabal have now devised a devious machination to rope in, body up, implicate and in the end incarcerate marked opposition leaders and different dissenting voices over fabricated safety fees.

“Part of this design, as already exposed by the Special Adviser to President Muhammadu Buhari, Mr. Femi Adesina, on Arise TV, is to link such opposition leaders and dissenting voices with the widespread killings in various parts of the country, while forgetting that President Muhammadu Buhari had earlier blamed the attacks on invaders from Late Muammar Gaddafi’s Libya, while his Director General of State Security Services (DG SSS) blamed it on herdsmen from neighbouring countries.”
