President Muhammadu Buhari with President of Mauritania, Mohammed Ould Abdel Aziz in Mauritania
President Muhammadu Buhari on Saturday arrived Mauritania for the 31st session of the African Union (AU) Summit.
This was disclosed by the President’s private assistant on New Media, Bashir Ahmed, on Twitter.
Buhari was welcomed by the President of Mauritania, Mohammed Ould Abdel Aziz on the airport.
The tweet reads, ”President @MBuhari being obtained by President of Mauritania, Mohammed Ould Abdel Aziz as he arrived Nouakchott, Mauritania forward of the 31st Session of the #AUSummit.”
Meanwhile, a assertion by the President’s spokesperson, Femi Adesina had mentioned “On the margins of the AU Summit, President Muhammadu Buhari and different African leaders will participate in an interactive session with President Emmanuel Macron of France on Ficing AU-led Peace Support Operations licensed by the United Nations Security Council (UNSC).
“Domit points affecting the continent corresponding to peace and safety, HIV/AIDS, regional cooperation, local weather change will have interaction the eye of the African leaders through the Summit.
“The Nigerian leader will also hold series of high-level bilateral sessions on issues of shared common interests to the country, Africa and the world.”
