The Rangers have traded Keith Yandle to the Florida Panthers in exchange for draft picks.
The team announced the deal on Twitter Monday evening. The team will receive a sixth-round pick in this weekendβs NHL draft as well as a conditional fourth-round pick in 2017 if Yandle signs with the Panthers.
Yandle, who was acquired by the Rangers at the trade deadline on March 1, 2015, is set to be an unrestricted free agent this summer. The 29-year-old defenseman was a key member of the Rangersβ power-play unit and totaled 47 points (five goals, 42 assists) last season.
