The Italian made the bold decision to substitute defender Daniel Amartey in favour of striker Leonardo Ulloa against Norwich, which paid dividends as the latter scored the winner

Leicester manager Claudio Ranieri is willing to continue taking risks in a bid to keep his side's Premier League title push alive.

The Italian made the gutsy decision to take off defender Daniel Amartey in place of Leonardo Ulloa as the Foxes refused to settle for a point against a dogged Norwich side on Saturday.

And Ranieri was rewarded for his bravery in the end as Ulloa popped up to score the all-important winner at the King Power Stadium to keep Leicester at the summit.

Ranieri, whose men top the table by two points, said he expects more teams to follow Norwich's suit and set up rigidly against Leicester for the rest of the season, meaning he is likely to take more chances from the touchline.

"I took a lot of risks against Norwich," he said.

"I said, 'In or out - it's not important now. One point is nothing, we have to win today'.

"You can lose but it’s only one point less than a draw. The manager is hired for this reason, to take a risk.

"I expect more games like this, teams coming here with five defenders. There aren't any easy matches. Every match is a battle. Every match you can lose.

"The most important thing is we concentrated and we were focused and we will take that on to the next match now."

Leicester have matches against West Brom, Watford, Newcastle and Crystal Palace in March as they look to hold off fellow title-chasers Tottenham and Arsenal.

But Ranieri continues to remain coy on talk of Leicester winning the league, adding: "I understand everyone asks will we win the title? I don't know.

"Let me now get past the next four matches, then I might say something more. I can't tell you too much for another month."
