No less than three new models will be showcased on Renault's stand at the upcoming Swiss auto show that opens in two weeks.

In its official release, it states that they will be "two world premieres in the C segment", a special ZOE edition, and key innovations.

The first is the new Scenic, that was already announced the previous week, and the second the estate version of the new Megane, called the Sports Tourer.

Renault's compact MPV celebrates its 20th anniversary and it was previewed five years ago, by the R-Space Concept. It features a new front fascia, in line with the rest of the manufacturer's lineup design, more raked windscreen, shorter bonnet and curvy rear finish. The 2017 Scenic will ride on the CMF platform used on the Megane, from which it will also borrow its engine range.

The Megane Sport Tourer will mirror the design of the hatch up to the C-pillar, and it will be roughly 30 cm longer, with the extra length added to the rear to increase luggage space.

The "key innovations" that Renault will display in Geneva include the 4Control, Multi-Sense, R-Link 2 and R240 electric power unit.

Finally, sister company Dacia will introduce its new Easy-R automated manual transmission, which was detailed the previous year in Frankfurt, and a "limited edition" of one of its models.
