Katie Ledecky is leaving Rio on top.
Ledecky won her fourth gold of the Olympic Games in the women’s 800-meter freestyle, setting a new world record in the process with a time of 8:04:79.
Great Britain’s Jazmin Carlin took home the silver while Hungary’s Boglarka Kapas won bronze.
This is Ledecky’s second Olympic victory in the 800-meter free -- the first time being her first gold medal performance at the London Olympics in 2012 when she won with a time of 8:14.63.
Ledecky still has never lost an individual final at either the Olympics or World Championships. She now has five career Olympic gold medals to her name with six Olympic medals total.
