Mr Amadi read the list on the floor of the House and subsequently directed all nominees to submit 40 sets of their curriculum vitae, photocopies of their credentials, and evidence of tax compliance in preparation for the upcoming screening exercise. These documents are to be forwarded to the Office of the Clerk of the House at the Rivers State House of Assembly Quarters.

Background to the Appointments
This move by Governor Fubara follows his dissolution of the previous State Executive Council last month. The dissolution was a direct consequence of the political crisis that erupted between him and the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike. The disagreement necessitated the intervention of President Bola Tinubu, who stepped in to mediate and broker peace between the two prominent political figures.
