Arsenal are willing to match both Manchester United and Manchester City's bids of up to €80 million to sign James Rodriguez this summer despite Real Madrid being unwilling to sell, reports Marca.
The Colombian has failed to live up to expectations this season, failing to reproduce the performances that prompted Madrid president Florentino Perez to shell out €80m to Monaco for his signature in 2014.
Rodriguez has repeatedly found himself left on the bench after failing to convince both Rafael Benitez and Zinedine Zidane, with the star reportedly ready to request to be sold after the Champions League final.
His situation has put Arsenal, along with their Manchester rivals, on alert and they are ready to break the bank for a move - though they face a major obstacle in Perez who still considers the star a crucial pillar at Madrid.
