Arsenal have moved on from missing out on Jamie Vardy and are targeting Sporting striker Islam Slimani, according to A Bola.
Leicester City forward Vardy agreed a new four-year deal with the Foxes despite Arsenal meeting his £20 million release clause, and Arsene Wenger will now be forced to look elsewhere.
And the veteran coach's search has reportedly led him to Algeria international Slimani, who scored 31 goals in 46 matches across all competitions last season.
Somewhat ironically Leicester have already had a bid rejected for the Algeria international, while Tottenham have also been linked with a move.
