The manager was ambushed by a local reporter following Wednesday's 8-0 victory, prompting confusion, lots of loud, slow talking and a few hand gestures
Harry Redknapp celebrated his first foray into international management with an emphatic 8-0 win as Jordan thrashed Bangladesh on Wednesday. Jordan, ranked 82nd in the world, were 5-0 up at half-time on the way to the second biggest victory in their history, but it was not all plain sailing for Redknapp. The former Tottenham manager, who is no stranger to a microphone and camera, was approached for an impromptu interview after the game full of loud, slow talking to overcome the language barrier. As the interviewee struggles to get Redknapp to face the camera, we see lots of Redknapp's back and his attempts to gesticulate his simple answers with ever-increasing volume and arm movements. With both the man with the microphone and the man speaking into said microphone not overly familar with the other's mother tongue, confusion soon reigns, ending with a priceless Redknapp "Eh?". One thing is for sure, though - the future is good.
