The Italy manager has agreed a deal to take charge of the Blues from next season and is keen to bolster their defence given John Terry's impending departure from Stamford Bridge
Antonio Conte wants to bring Juventus defender Leonardo Bonucci to Chelsea next season, according to The Daily Telegraph.
The Italy manager is set to be announced as the new Blues boss after agreeing a deal with the Stamford Bridge outfit on Thursday, and sees bolstering their defence as a priority.
John Terry is set to leave the club this summer having not been offered a new contract, leaving just Kurt Zouma and Gary Cahill as the only senior centre-backs at the club.
And Conte sees Bonucci - who he has worked with at Juventus and with the national side - as the perfect man to offset the departure of the former England captain.
