RUMOURS: Everton Reignite Mata Interest

Everton are making enquiries over the signing of Manchester United's Juan Mata, according to The Times.

The Toffees had been credited with an interest in the Spaniard earlier in the summer and are now looking to move forward with talks as the attacking midfielder's future under Jose Mourinho looks bleak.

The Red Devils maintain publicly that Mata is not for sale, but the player himself may look to put in a transfer request to find first-team football elsewhere and get away from the Portuguese boss.

Mata, 28, played under current Everton manager Ronald Koeman when the pair were both at Valencia.
