The Switzerland international would cost around £20 million as Louis van Gaal looks to cover for injuries to five of his full-backs, though Real Madrid are also interested
Manchester United have turned their attention to Wolfsburg left-back Ricardo Rodriguez in a bid to aid their defensive injury crisis, according to The Sun.
Matteo Darmian was the latest United full-back to pick up an injury against Southampton on Saturday with Luke Shaw, Marcos Rojo, Antonio Valencia and Ashley Young all already on the sidelines nursing problems.
And manager Louis van Gaal is now keen to add Rodriguez to his squad, having sent scouts to watch him on at least two occasions.
Wolfsburg would want around £20 million for the Switzerland international, though Real Madrid are also interested.
