Manchester United are very close to meeting Borussia Dortmund's asking price of £31 million for Henrikh Mkhitaryan, having offered £28m, according to Mirror Sport.
The playmaker's representative, Mino Raiola, has confirmed the Red Devils' interest in his client, pushing the 27-year-old to Old Trafford.
Dortmund have publicly rebuffed bids for their star, however, constantly claiming he will not leave Signal Iduna Park until his contract is up next summer.

But, it is believed they will relent when a sum in the region of £31m is offered for Mkhitaryan, and United are very close to matching their demands with their improved £28m offer.
