Jose Mourinho has forced Bastian Schweinsteiger to train with Manchester United’s reserves after informing the German that he is free to leave Old Trafford, according to The Daily Mail.
The report claims that the 32-year-old has cleared out his locker in the first-team dressing room and has moved to the reserve changing room.
The midfielder still has two years remaining on his contract and United may be forced to pay part of his wages should he join another club who can’t match his current deal.
Schweinsteiger joined United last season but struggled to find form under Louis van Gaal as his campaign was heavily disrupted by injury.
