Paul Scholes has warned Zlatan Ibrahimovic that he will find it more difficult to score for Manchester United than he did for Paris Saint-Germain.
The 34-year-old has joined Jose Mourinho’s side on a one-year deal having left the French champions on a free transfer earlier this summer.
The Swede has won multiple league titles in Italy, Spain, France and Netherlands but Scholes believes the striker “will have to do more for himself’ at Old Trafford.
“We don’t know about Zlatan. He is 34 and probably going to play only for a year. Okay, he is a fit lad,” the former United midfielder told Sport Witness.
“I think with Ibrahimovic it is, he was playing in a team of PSG and they created a lot of chances. It was easy for him to score goals in that league.
“This Manchester United team isn’t as good as the PSG team. It might be in time to come. He is going to have to do more for himself in the Manchester United team. More than he did at PSG.”
