Senator Shehu Sani (APC-Kaduna Central) has mentioned he disclosed the earnings of lawmakers to encourage transparency and accountability in governance.
The lawmaker had revealed that Senators obtain N13.5 million month-to-month as working value, excluding a N700,000 month-to-month consolidated wage and allowance which additionally they obtain.
Speaking to Channels TV, Sani stated that it was geared toward prompting the general public to ask questions in regards to the remuneration in different arms of presidency.
