The crisis in the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kaduna State deepened at the weekend, as a splinter group, APC-Akida emerged with the Senator representing Kaduna Central Senatorial District, Shehu Sani and former Secretary of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Dr. Hakeem Baba-Ahmed listed as members.
Also among the prominent names within the APC splinter group in the state is the former governorship aspirant, Alhaji Isah Hashiru.
In the proposed Advisory Council of the APC-AKIDA made available to journalists, Senator Shehu Sani’s name was number six while that of the former Secretary of Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) was 21 from Zone 1 (North).
Other members are former Kaduna State chairman of the defunct All Nigeria Peoples Party, Alhaji Kabir Umar, former Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party in the state, Alhaji Yaro Makama, a former governorship candidate on the platform of the defunct Congress for Progressive Change (CPC), Alhaji A. G. Haruna, wife of late Deputy Governor of the state, Stephen Shekari, Mrs. Charity Shekari, among others.
The proposed State Executive Committee of the APC-AKIDA also consists of nine members from each of the three zones of the state. The group comprises of Dr. Tom Mataimaki Maiyashi (Convener) from Zone Two, Alhaji Yaro Makama (Deputy Convener) Zone One, Hafsat Baba, Secretary, Sheba Kura, Deputy Secretary (Zone Three), Elias Kazah Aduwak, Financial Secretary (Zone three), Kabiru Salihu, Treasurer (zone One), Murtala Mohammed, Publicity Secretary (Zone Two), Alhaji Aminu Sani Gyallesu, Deputy Organizing Secretary (Zone One) and Alhaji Kabiru Ajuji, Auditor (Zone One).
