West Ham co-chairman David Sullivan has criticised Manchester United's punctuality after the farewell Premier League match at Upton Park was delayed by 45 minutes.

The Manchester side arrived after schedule following busy traffic in the capital but were prevented from entering the stadium car park to disembark after their team bus was pelted with bottles on its way in, smashing one of the side windows.

Despite the Hammers fans' poor behaviour, the club official failed to criticise the supporters and instead turned his attention toward the arrival time of their opponents.

"I'm gravely disappointed, more for our supporters," Sullivan told Sky Sports.

"What people forget is they've got trains and buses to get home and we've got a wonderful, wonderful show after the game for them. many just can't stay any more.

"United should have got here at 4pm. They know it's our last game. They had the same problem at Tottenham a few weeks ago.

"I think the police and officials have been kind. I'd make them kick-off at 7.45pm if I was in charge."
