In Kano, a magistrate’s court located in Gyadi-Gyadi, Kumbotso Local Government Area, has handed down a 13-month prison sentence to Usman Musa, widely known by his social media handle 'Majidadin Yan Tik Tok'. The charges against him included making obscene remarks and causing public nuisance.
During the court proceedings, presided over by Magistrate Hadiza Muhammad Hassan, the accused entered a guilty plea to all the charges brought against him by the Kano State Government.
The court's judgement included multiple penalties: a seven-month imprisonment term, with an alternative fine of ₦70,000, for the offence of conspiracy. Additionally, Musa received two separate three-month prison sentences, both without the option of a fine; one for creating a public nuisance and the other for uttering obscene and indecent remarks.
Following the formal reading of the charges, Majidadin accepted responsibility for all accusations.
Furthermore, the court issued an order mandating Majidadin to promptly remove all obscene comments and videos he had previously uploaded to his TikTok account.
