“Don’t say it with flowers, say it with GIFs,” is what Tinder’s latest tag line could be.

The perennially popular dating app has teamed up with Giphy to let you express your deepest desires using mini looping skits, letting you search by keyword to send your “matches” humorous GIFs alongside your poetic prose.

Tinder has also introduced a number of additional enhancements with its latest upgrade, which is live on iOS now, with Android presumably to follow. For example, users can now “like” messages by hitting a little green heart icon, while emojis will now also be displayed more prominently.

It’s not just about messaging, though. Tinder users can now also upload profile photos directly from their camera roll, in addition to using Facebook pictures, which Tinder said was one of its most-requested features.

Launched in 2012, Tinder has emerged as the de facto dating app for several, and the app now claims to make 26 million new “matches” each day, globally. While supporting GIFs may seem like a small, incremental update, it’s a super popular means of communicating without words, which is why other social networks such as Twitter and Pinterest have long supported the format.

So for several, this latest update will have been a long time coming.
