Toyota Announces Recall Of Almost 320,000 Vehicles

Toyota is set to recall around 320,000 vehicles in the United States due to an issue with the side curtain airbags.

Affected by the recall is the 2003-2006 Land Cruiser, 2004-2006 4Runner, 2005-2006 Tundra and Sequoia, 2003-2006 LX 470 and the 2004-2006 GX 470.

Due to improper programming in the airbag control modules, there is a possibility that the airbags could inadvertently deploy after startup. Not something to be taken lightly, of course...

To resolve the issue, a new airbag control module will be installed free of charge, and owners of said vehicles will be notified by first class mail.
