The Lokoja, Kogi state capital office of the Department of State Security (DSS) has come under ttacks by unknown gunmen who have held the office hostage this late Friday evening.
A source said the attackers arrived at the venue of their mission at about 10.30pm Friday night shooting sporadically.
There were also sounds which show explosion of devices.
It is not yet known what could be the rationale behind the attack.
About 70 people were paraded last week by the DSS office in the state over allegations of being members of Boko Haram.
