Donald Trump has amassed the largest concentration of US air power in the Middle East since 2003, as speculation of a conflict with Iran intensifies and experts suggest US military action could commence as early as Saturday.

Recent nuclear discussions with Iran have shown minimal progress, and President Trump's patience is wearing thin; he has effectively warned Iran to reach an agreement or confront the repercussions.
Deployment of US Forces
Officials informed CBS that Mr Trump is yet to make a definitive decision on striking Iran, though the significant deployment of US military assets suggests potential developments in the coming days. Aircraft have been stationed in Bahrain, the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Jordan, and Greece.
Naval forces are currently deployed across the Red Sea, Arabian Sea, and in proximity to the Strait of Hormuz. The world's largest aircraft carrier, the USS Gerald R Ford, is presently en route to the Middle East, anticipated to arrive in the Arabian Sea by Sunday.
Potential Attack Scenarios
Security expert Will Geddes yesterday informed Metro that the US is likely conducting detailed mapping of Iran to ensure any potential strikes target regime assets, rather than civilian areas. "Nuclear development facilities and military infrastructure would be the primary focus, with the ultimate aim of crippling the regime’s military capabilities and compelling them to withdraw," he stated.
Yesterday, satellite imagery revealed that Iran has constructed a concrete shield over a new facility at a sensitive military location, subsequently concealing it with soil. They may be anticipating an attack akin to the brief conflict between Israel and Iran last summer, during which the US neutralised numerous nuclear facilities.
That particular assault commenced with B-2 stealth bombers departing Missouri and heading towards Iran. Upon entering the Middle East, the bombers targeted nuclear sites at Fordo and Natanz, Iran, before exiting Iranian airspace and returning to the US.
