Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal has admitted winning the Europa League is now the priority for his side after his side's defeat to Sunderland.
The Red Devils are six points behind fourth-placed Manchester City having played a game more than the entire top four, and the former Barcelona boss feels it will be difficult to bridge the gap.
"It will be very difficult now we give five points away with the Chelsea result it’s too much at this time," he told BT Sport.
"I think after today that’s [the Europa League] the best route but not so easy because a lot of very good teams in the Europa League.
