The England international has admitted he would not be keen to come up against the no-nonsense Real Madrid centre-back who has been guilty of the odd cynical foul in the past
Jamie Vardy can be forgiven for looking ahead to next season's Champions League given Leicester City's form, but the England striker is not looking forward to one particular potential duel.
The former Fleetwood Town forward has been a revelation in the Premier League this season having scored 19 goals to help fire the Foxes to the top of the table.
But Vardy has admitted he would be wary of going up against Real Madrid's Pepe should the two sides clash next season in Europe's premier club competition.
"That’s a toughy. If we got there I’d probably say I wouldn’t like to play against Pepe," he told Betfair when asked which Champions League opponent he would fear the most.
"You see some of the tackles he flies in with, not for me that."
