The Spaniard was greeted with jeers from the Gunners supporters as Chelsea sealed a 1-0 victory at the Emirates Stadium
Cesc Fabregas responded to jeers from Arsenal fans at full-time by patting the Chelsea badge on his shirt. Guus Hiddink’s men ran out 1-0 winners at the Emirates Stadium following Diego Costa’s first-half goal, while Arsenal were reduced to 10 men following Per Mertesacker’s last-man challenge on the Spain international. Fabregas, who spent eight years at Arsenal before joining Barcelona in 2011, was greeted with boos and jeers in his latest return to the club, but as he walked off the pitch towards the tunnel on Sunday evening, the midfielder responded to the Gunners supporters in the stands.
