The Peoples Democratic Party ( PDP) governorship candidate in Abia State, Dr. Okeize Ikpeazu, has won the Abia gubernatorial election, polling 264,173 votes to beat his closest rival, Dr Alex Otti of the APGA who had 180,882 votes. Total votes cast in the the election was 462,684 while rejected votes were 9,440.
