The Ekiti State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has lambasted the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for campaigning in public faculties.
The party made its stands recognized in an assertion issued in Ado-Ekiti by the state Publicity Secretary of the APC, Taiwo Olatunbosun.
The party stated: “Visiting public faculties throughout faculty hours to disrupt tutorial train is desperation taken too far, condemnable and reckless politicking that has no benefit in trendy democratic governance.
“It is regrettable that the PDP and its candidate have resorted into taking their marketing campaign to public secondary faculties throughout the state, thereby disrupting tutorial actions within the faculties.
“This singular transfer has confirmed our preliminary cries that Gov. Ayo Fayose, his deputy, who can be the candidate of the party, Prof. Olusola Eleka, and PDP have been concerned within the registration of underage youngsters throughout the state in the course of the steady voters registration train by INEC.
“It is very unfortunate that the students who are supposed to be seriously engaged in preparations for either NECO or promotion examinations are now the targets of being conscripted into electoral illegality.”
Olatubosun stated the transfer, which he described as “ambush tactics” to hunt assist of scholars and academics after failing to pay their salaries for eight months, would fail.
