The race for the All Progressives Congress (APC) nationwide chairmanship place is open to all, Oyo state governor Abiola Ajimobi mentioned on Thursday.
Ajimobi is the Chairman of the Media and Publicity Sub-Committee of the APC National Convention Committee.
He mentioned this in Abuja whereas addressing journalists on the party’s National Convention slated for June 23.
”The President has endorsed Oshiomhole, however it doesn't preclude different folks from declaring to contest,” he mentioned.
It is democracy and everyone is open to declare.
“I think everybody has a right to declare and once they declare, we go through the convention and we choose whoever wins.”
But the governor also said that the Bola Tinubu reconciliation committee is working arduous to reconcile aggrieved members of the party.
According to him, the party ought to first realise that reconciliation is all encompassing and the Asiwaju’s committee is working quietly, reconciling folks underground and dealing with everybody; the reconciliation is ongoing.
”As human beings, from the start of our being on this world until the tip, we should proceed to reconcile. We should reconcile ourselves with the atmosphere and with folks,” he added.
”I imagine the Asiwaju workforce is working very successfully and reporting to the President.”
