Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has counseled the National Assembly for granting monetary autonomy to state assemblies in Nigeria.
President Muhammadu Buhari on Friday signed a modification to the structure that grants autonomy to state judiciary and state Houses of Assembly.
Reacting to the signing in a submit on Twitter, Atiku stated the signing of the invoice would assist develop states within the nation.
He wrote: “The NASS deserves commendation for the simply assented to invoice granting monetary autonomy to state assemblies and judiciary.
“It is laws like this, and more, that will grant the constituent states the envisaged independence and flexibility to develop at their own pace.”
