Former Governor of Cross River State, Donald Duke, has declared his intention to contest for the Office of President within the upcoming 2019 basic election.

He made the announcement throughout an interview with Deutsche Welle Africa on Friday.

Speaking on how he can do higher than Buhari, Donald Duke mentioned the present administration was completely out of tune with the present realities of the nation.

He mentioned: “I see such apparent failings; I see a management that's steeped prior to now and that’s actually refused to evolve with a nation that’s predomitly a nation of younger, aspiring individuals, and nonetheless doing the issues the best way they had been performed many a few years in the past and didn't work.

“I feel our management within the nation at this time is completely out of tune with the present realities of our nation. There’s a disconnect someplace.
