President Muhammadu Buhari arrives Accra, Ghana
President Muhammadu Buhari travelled to Ghana on Monday night to attend the country’s 61st Independence Anniversary celebrations on Tuesday.
The President was received upon arrival by Ghanaian President a Akufo-Addo.
President Muhammadu Buhari is expected to use his speech to reaffirm the long-standing warm relations between the peoples and governments of both nations, according to the Presidency.
The President travelled to Ghana after visiting Taraba State to commiserate with the people of the state over the killings that have occurred there due to the herdsmen-farmers clashes.
Earlier on Monday, the President received Liberian President George Weah at the Presidential Villa in Nigeria’s capital Abuja.
Both Presidents held a meeting behind closed doors and George Weah later called for stronger trade ties between both countries.
