Sam Allardyce is likely to watch Barcelona train at St George's Park this week just days after being appointed England manager, Goal understands.
Allardyce is currently spending his first week as Three Lions boss at England's training HQ in Burton-upon-Trent, where he is in the process of assembling his backroom staff, expected to consist of former Real Madrid assistant coach Paul Clement and another trusted member of Allardyce's inner circle, Sammy Lee.
The former Sunderland and West Ham manager is also tied up in a number of meetings regarding his new role but the possibility remains that he could watch Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez's side prepare for their International Champions Cup opener against Celtic before they leave for Dublin on Friday.
Republic of Ireland assistant coach Roy Keane was in the stands to watch Barcelona train on Wednesday morning and it appears that Allardyce will follow suit if he finds time in his schedule over the coming days.
Although famed for a more direct, physical footballing philosophy compared to the Catalan giants' free-flowing tiki-taka style, Allardyce will almost certainly take some worthwhile tips from Luis Enrique's training drills.
