Harley-Davidson plans to shift some motorbike manufacturing away from the United States to keep away from the "substantial" burden of European Union tariffs.
Last week the EU launched retaliatory tariffs on US items, together with bourbon, orange juice and bikes.
Wisconsin-based Harley-Davidson has meeting vegetation in Australia, Brazil, India and Thailand.
The firm mentioned it is going to increase funding in its worldwide vegetation, however didn't say which of them.
"To address the substantial cost of this tariff burden long-term, Harley-Davidson will be implementing a plan to shift production of motorcycles for EU destinations from the United States to its international facilities to avoid the tariff burden," the corporate mentioned in an official submitting to the United States market regulator.
As said by Harley-Davidson the tariffs have added, on common $2,200 (£1,660) to every bike exported to the EU from the United States.
