Newcastle United have had two games moved for TV in March – including the much-anticipated trip to Wembley to play Tottenham.
United’s game at Liverpool on March 3 will be shown on BT Sports, which means it moves to a 5.30pm kick off but remains on a Saturday while the match at Spurs has been moved to a Friday night. The March 16 game will be live on Sky Sports with an 8pm kick off – which will inconvenience supporters, with no trains available to get them home after the match finishes.
And any supporters rushing to book times should also be aware that the game will be moved again if either Newcastle or Tottenham make it to the quarter-finals of the FA Cup. Newcastle go to Chelsea in the fourth round on Sunday while Spurs take on Newport County. If either wins that match and then also prevails in the fifth round, the Wembley trip will be shifted as well.

Surprisingly, there were no TV takers for two relegation six-pointers at St James’ Park during March. Newcastle welcome Southampton to Tyneside on Saturday, March 10 and Huddersfield on March 31. Both games will be traditional 3pm kick offs.
