Chelsea are ready to trigger Benfica defender Victor Lindelof's €30 million (£25m) buy-out clause, according to Record.
The 22-year-old can play at both right-back and centre-back, with Antonio Conte attracted by his versatility in light of the aging Branislav Ivanovic and John Terry.
Lindelof, whose agent has informed Benfica of Chelsea's intentions, has excelled since the turn of the year by breaking into Rui Vitoria's first team before becoming a regular for Sweden.
